Plastics Identification

As we all know Pad Printing is genearlly about printing onto plastics and to a lesser extent so can Hot Stamping. But what plastic is it? If we don't know what the plastic is how can we select an ink or a foil. From our experience plastics identification is an on going problem

Use a series of tests to determine what the plastic is. We have provided a simple set of tests which should help. Go here

Material Safety Data Sheets

Workplace Health and Safety legislation becomes more difficult to manage as time goes by so in an effort to help keep up with our obligations we have made available within this section and in PDF format Marabu Material Safety Data Sheets for the chemical products we sell. Go here

Marabu Pad Printing Inks

Now that we have hopefully identified the type of plastic we need to print we need to select an ink system. Follow this link to the Marabu Ink page where you will find extensive information about Marabu Inks

Curing time versus Drying time

There is a difference between physical drying and chemical drying/curing which can effect the way in which a pad printed article should be handled after printing. For more informatin Go here
